An excellent initiative of the Zagreb County Tourist Board in the promotion of local winemakers

first_imgCan other tourist boards join this action and make the same or similar promotion in their area, and thus at least a little help to local winemakers who are also directly affected by this situation? By the way, the vineyards of Zagreb County belong to the wine region Bregovita Hrvatska. They are located on elevated terrains, which are the slopes of mountains and lower mountains, which on their southern slopes have excellent conditions for the production of high quality grapes.  You still get to react – it takes one call and one post on the social network. Among the most successful projects, county brands stand out – such as the Kingdom of Zelina and the Portuguese Plešivica. There are also three wine roads – Samoborska, Plešivička and Zelinska, while in the Ivanićgrad region bordering Moslavina, there is a “Land of Scarlet”. In a moment of emergency or crisis communication, the worst thing is not to communicate. While most tourism entities recycle old content, it is certainly commendable to see such initiatives and different communication. Small but important details that make a difference. Maybe these moves, like many others, will not make a significant difference, because realistically in this situation where tourism, as well as practically the whole economy, cares, there is simply no measure or action that will make a “miracle”, but it shows a sign of attention and how cared, which is a very valuable currency today. Also, another good move by the Zagreb County Tourist Board should certainly be pointed out. As there were excellent initiatives to open FB groups with a list of local family farms that sell products and deliver as well as the boom of opening web stores for the same, Zagreb County Tourist Board made an effort and gathered all e-markets in Zagreb County in one place. The Zagreb County Tourist Board, in cooperation with the famous GRIFFIN Sparkling Wines winery from Plešivica, has launched a “prize game” on its official Facebook page in which participants will have the opportunity to win a bottle of Griffin Dark Side champagne for the Easter table. e-MARKETS #kupujmolokalno In the coming days, more winemakers from the Zagreb winery will join this promotion, points out Ivana Alilović, director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board, such as winemakers from the Zelina Wine Road, Škrlet from Moslavina, wines from the Samobor area, etc.… Of course, this action will not sell hundreds of wines, but it certainly gives a positive example and a different way of communication, and thus the promotion of local products. According to county data, Zagreb County, with its 5 million vines planted on more than 900 hectares, is at the very top of the Republic of Croatia in terms of the number of winemakers, wine labels, wine roads and wine-growing and wine projects in general.  The promotion lasts until Thursday (April 09.04), and you can find more details on the official FB page Zagreb County Tourist Board . An excellent move by the Zagreb County Tourist Board, since these moves promote local wineries, ie winemakers from the Zagreb County. The climatic characteristics of the Zagreb County area have conditioned the development of a typical continental assortment. These are the same varieties as in neighboring countries, and introduced in these areas a hundred years ago (mostly Chardonnay, Rhine Riesling, Pinot Noir, Gray, Black, Sauvignon White, Silvanac Green, Graševina). Many vineyards also grow old Plešivica varieties ( eg žuti plavec), in the Zelina area the original variety kraljevina, and according to Moslavina also the autochthonous škrlet. Of the international black varieties, portugizac, syrah, merlot, cabernet sauvignon are important. In the multitude of information and communication noise, it is good to have a list in one place. Wilshere hits back at critics

first_img Photos of the midfielder holding a shisha pipe at a nightclub were posted on social media and quickly made national headlines. On Thursday evening, Wilshere posted on Instagram a video of himself in training as he recovers from ankle surgery along with the message : “Worry about your character not your reputation, because your character is who you are and your reputation is only what people who don’t know you think about you!” Press Association The Gunners are to seek clarification from Wilshere over the circumstances of the incident, which is understood to have happened during a night out with friends in central London last week. A picture of Wilshere was uploaded to Instagram, before being removed and replaced with an edited version where only the face of the Arsenal player was visible in the background. However, the original image, where the England international held the shisha pipe, was then subsequently reposted on Twitter, sparking much debate across social media over the player’s behaviour ahead of Saturday’s north London derby at Tottenham Arsenal take a dim view on players smoking. In January, goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny was hit with a £25,000 fine after it emerged he lit up in the showers following the 2-0 defeat at Southampton on New Year’s Day, since when the Pole has not started a Barclays Premier League match. Wilshere’s representatives said they had nothing further to add when contacted by the Press Association on Thursday. The latest revelations around Wilshere – the midfielder has been criticised in the past after twice being pictured with a cigarette, the previous occasion while on holiday in Las Vegas last summer with England goalkeeper Joe Hart following the 2014 World Cup – will come as an unwelcome distraction to Wenger as he prepares his squad for Saturday’s lunchtime kick off at White Hart Lane, with the subject now set to dominate the agenda at Friday’s morning media conference. Leading scorer Alexis Sanchez will again be out because of a hamstring injury which saw him miss the 5-0 win over Aston Villa, but England forward Danny Welbeck is in line to make a return after being out since December 28 with a thigh problem. Jack Wilshere appeared to hit back at his critics after becoming embroiled in another smoking controversy. Wenger said on the Arsenal club website: “Alexis is not ready. He is not far away, the Leicester game is a possibility. He is of course very difficult to keep quiet. He is training, but it’s light training.” Wenger added Wilshere was set to be “back in full training next week, hopefully from Sunday”. England forward Theo Walcott, meanwhile, is relishing the prospect of the derby atmosphere as Arsenal look to keep the pressure up on the top four. Walcott has just returned to full fitness after the best part of a year on the sidelines when suffering a serious knee injury in the closing minutes of the FA Cup third-round win over Spurs at the Emirates Stadium in January 2014. The 25-year-old was carried off on a stretcher in front of the away supporters, some of whom threw objects to which the player responded with a 2-0 hand gesture. Walcott, whose injury shattered his World Cup dreams, thrives on the rivalry. “This is a massive game and it is all about the bragging rights,” Walcott said in the London Evening Standard. “Things like that have happened in the past and it won’t be forgotten about, I am sure, but it is one thing I have moved on from. “Every player will get stick I am sure, but it is about just trying to go out there and perform.” Walcott, who has scored in successive appearances since his return from a niggling groin problem, added: “Any criticism won’t affect me at all. It is enjoyable – it is a bit different and is always a great atmosphere at White Hart Lane. “It is probably the fixture I always look forward to playing in the most, to be fair. “It is one of the biggest games for both sets of fans and this year it is going to be tight.” last_img read more

NFL news and notes: Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy says Patriots culture will overcome losses

first_img Tom Brady posts ‘spoiler alert’ photo with Peyton Manning Here are a few headlines from around the NFL, including one Patriot explaining how the team seems to always overcome.Colts aren’t trading QB Jacoby Brissett … yetJacoby Brissett has proven himself to be a fine backup quarterback in the NFL, but he wants to be starter. Unfortunately for him, he’s behind Andrew Luck in Indianapolis. Related News Kansas City radio host suspended indefinitely after Andy Reid comments Colts head coach Frank Reich is a huge fan of Brissett and told The Fan 107.5 he hopes the 26-year-old QB, who is in the final year of his rookie contract, gets a shot down the line, but he wants that insurance policy as long as possible and doesn’t want to trade him to a QB-needy team.“It’s impossible for me to have a higher opinion of Jacoby than I do,” Reich says. “I said it last year, I think he’s a top 20 quarterback. I still say that. After watching him for a year, this guy’s really good,” Reich said. “I tell (general manager) Chris (Ballard) all the time, ‘Please don’t let him go. I don’t care what anybody offers him. Don’t let him go.’ I love Jacoby. The problem is now I’ve gotten to know Jacoby and, at some point, I hope that it works out for Jacoby. But not now.”Brissett has 17 starts under his belt, including 15 with the Colts. If a team were to deal with some bad luck at quarterback, Brissett would likely be a top trade target.Cardinals rookie Kyler Murray talks patience, chemistry before training campKyler Murray delivered a message of patience Wednesday as the Cardinals continue to build chemistry during the offseason.”Everybody is not on the same page like I was with my guys in college right now,” Murray told Fox Sports Arizona. “I’ve only been here for a couple of months so it’s going to take time, it’s going to take reps. But I’m prepared for the ups and the downs, but so far for me it’s been great. The guys have been very accepting of me and I can’t wait to get the season started.”Kyler Murray joins @Jody_Jackson on @Dbacks live to discuss his first pitch and the upcoming season as quarterback of the @AZCardinals.— FOX Sports Arizona (@FOXSPORTSAZ) June 26, 2019Murray added that’s he’s anxious to take his game to the next level in July when he steps onto the field fully padded for training camp.”I think it will all be an adjustment,” Murray said. “Just for all of us rookies, it’ll be an adjustment. But I’ve always been confident in myself, just trust my abilities, trust what I can do on the football field along with coach (Kliff) Kingsbury’s coaching, teaching me. I think us together along with the players that we have can be very dangerous.”Patriots culture will offset offseason losses, says Kyle Van NoyThe Patriots are never afraid to shuffle their roster, and that’s never been more apparent than this offseason, as numerous key players from last season’s Super Bowl championship team are no longer on the roster. To recap, here’s a list of notable names no longer with the organization:TE Rob GronkowskiWR Chris HoganWR Cordarrelle PattersonTE Dwayne AllenT Trent BrownT LaAdrian WaddleT Jared VeldheerDE Trey FlowersDT Malcolm BrownDE Adrian ClaybornCB Eric RoweDefensive coordinator Brian FloresBut according to linebacker Kyle Van Noy — who is still with the team — the culture in New England’s locker room will make up for each of those guys being gone.”Bill (Belichick) does a really good job of the culture being set with the players that have been there for their tenures,” Van Noy said on NFL Network. “Like Patrick Chung, Donte Hightower, Devin McCourty, Tom (Brady), they’ve been there for a while, Matthew Slater. Those guys have already been passed on from your generation, the standard. And we’re just trying to keep that legacy going.”So there really is no good news for other teams when it comes to the Patriots, is there?LeSean McCoy: Bills QB Josh Allen looks ‘more confident’ entering Year 2Few people get a better view of Josh Allen playing quarterback than Bills running back LeSean McCoy.And according to the veteran back, Allen has shown serious improvement entering his second season in the NFL.“He looks better,” McCoy told The Buffalo News. “I think he looks more confident. I think last year he just played off of talent. Sometimes, when quarterbacks are really talented, you overlook how smart they really are. Josh is smart.” The lull between minicamps and training camps leaves time for the minds of NFL fans to wander to familiar storylines and scenarios. It’s an annual question for New England as both its roster and coaching staff undergo major overhauls each offseason. And though the supporting cast is forever in flux, the result is the same — winning. Panthers to be featured on Amazon’s ‘All or Nothing’ Allen showed great flashes during his rookie season. In 12 games (11 starts) he had 10 passing touchdowns and eight more on the ground. However, he did throw 12 interceptions.Allen is in an interesting division for quarterbacks entering their second year in the NFL with Sam Darnold in New York and Josh Rosen now in Miami. How those three QBs progress will be an ongoing storyline in 2019.last_img read more
